London is the great international family city — English-speaking, endlessly interesting, and full of free things. The big three museums (British, Natural History, V&A) are free entry and each has proper children's programming. Parks are enormous. The Tube is legible. And unlike a lot of European capitals, London leans into families in a way that just makes trips easier — kids' menus everywhere, changing tables at real cafés, and staff that don't sigh when you bring in a pram. Base in South Kensington for museums-in-slippers, or Covent Garden for theatres and walking distance to almost everything. The Tower of London is worth the ticket for older kids — the Beefeater tour is a real one. Add a Thames boat, a play at the National, one West End musical (Matilda, Lion King), and a Sunday morning at Borough Market. Weather is what it is. Pack a light rain jacket and stop asking.
